International Fragrance Sourcing Manager (Consultant)
About the Role
ZING is seeking an experienced International Fragrance Sourcing Manager (Consultant) for a highly visible, long-term consulting opportunity. This is not a traditional procurement role. We are looking for someone who already knows how to navigate the international fragrance marketplace, including gray-market and parallel-import channels, global wholesalers and exporters, product authenticity, customs documentation, and international supplier negotiations. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will have the opportunity to help build and shape a global sourcing strategy for authentic, full-size fragrance products.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage a global network of wholesalers, distributors, exporters, and other international suppliers
- Source authentic fragrance products through gray-market and parallel-import distribution channels
- Identify and develop new international sourcing opportunities
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities (MOQs), purchasing terms, and supplier agreements
- Evaluate supplier legitimacy and perform product authenticity verification
- Review customs records, trade data, bills of lading, and import/export documentation
- Manage and strengthen relationships with international suppliers and distributors
- Partner with Purchasing, Quality, Legal, and Operations teams to support sourcing initiatives
- Navigate trademark, import, trade compliance, and parallel-market considerations for consumer products
- Travel internationally as needed to develop supplier relationships and support sourcing initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in international sourcing, procurement, supply chain, strategic purchasing, or a related function
- Direct experience with gray-market and/or parallel-import sourcing
- Proven experience building and managing relationships with international wholesalers, distributors, and exporters
- Experience negotiating international supplier agreements, pricing, payment terms, and MOQs
- Hands-on experience with import/export documentation, customs records, bills of lading, and trade data
- Strong supplier qualification, due diligence, and authenticity verification experience
- Working knowledge of trademark, import, and parallel-market considerations related to consumer goods
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally when required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Highly Preferred Background
Experience within one or more of the following industries is strongly preferred:
- Fragrance
- Beauty and Cosmetics
- Luxury Goods
- Off-Price Retail
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
- International Procurement and Supply Chain
Existing sourcing relationships or market experience in Dubai/UAE, Europe, or Singapore is highly attractive.
Why This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to do more than manage an existing supplier list. You'll have the chance to build and shape an international sourcing network, leverage your existing industry relationships, and play a key role in a long-term global procurement strategy. You'll work remotely with a flexible schedule, have direct exposure to executive leadership, and take ownership of sourcing initiatives with significant business impact. Think global sourcing, fragrance expertise, and serious supplier-network building. If you know the international fragrance market and understand how parallel-market procurement really works, we'd love to connect.
