International Analytics Lead (24 months fixed-term)
About the role
The International Analytics Lead will drive the technical implementation and deployment of data systems, enabling in-country analysts through scalable tooling, standardized data pipelines, and governance frameworks, while providing targeted escalation support to resolve complex analytical and infrastructure blockers. This role will also foster a community of practice among KhanX analysts, enabling shared learning, consistent approaches, and stronger collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own the Streamlit-based KPI reporting platform (requirements, maintenance)
- Define and prioritize technical requirements for country-specific secure data enclaves in partnership with implementation teams
- Uphold data governance standards and best practices by establishing and enforcing data integrity protocols (e.g., minimum aggregation levels) and guide teams on responsible use of data insights
- Lead and contribute to special projects that enhance support models, deepen partner enablement, and advance global scalability
- Serve as the primary liaison between Khan Academy HQ and country teams on analytics planning, reporting guides, analytics training resources, timelines, and deliverables
- Ultimately, part of your role is crucial in building long-term data fluency within country teams
- Foster and facilitate a community of analysts across country teams, creating opportunities for shared learning, peer support, and the spread of best practices
Requirements
- Motivated by the Khan Academy mission “to provide a free world-class education for anyone, anywhere.”
- 7+ years of experience across data strategy, analytics, and business intelligence, — ideally within an edtech, nonprofit, or international context.
- Expertise in SQL, python, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Familiarity with education data systems and a strong grasp of common education metrics (e.g., usage, dosage, assessment outcomes).
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, product teams, and educators.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action; you enjoy building and iterating in evolving contexts.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Additional certifications or degrees in data science, analytics, or similar fields are a plus.

Pay
The compensation band for this role is $165,446 - $180,499 USD annually for candidates based in the United States and $223,569 - $244,000 CAD annually for candidates based in Canada. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary offered will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
Schedule
This is a full-time role with global scope, international travel (1- 2x/year), and requires comfort working across time zones.
