About the Role
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC-James) aims to improve health in Ohio and worldwide through innovation in research, education, and patient care. In this role, the Staff Nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care. The team provides patient care and supportive services focused on positive patient outcomes, maximizing patient involvement in their own care plan, and reducing hospitalization length.
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide care to patients and their families.
- Direct and supervise nursing care delivered by other members of the patient care team.
- Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model.
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited program.
- Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit.
- Experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
