Hospitalist requirements – Meds/Peds or FM trained with peds experience is ideal. Small volume of Peds coverage needed. Will consider IM for adult services only.

Responsibilities

  • Perform procedures and work confidently/competently in ICU with a level of autonomy
  • Provide APP supervision duties
  • Manage complex cases in an open ICU with 24/7 telemedicine critical care support
  • Perform most procedures and run codes
  • Cover an average census of 10-12 patients per physician, with 1-3 admissions per day and 2-6 admissions per night
  • Provide coverage of pediatric patients (1-2 per day, primarily newborns) if Med/Peds or FM trained; may require resuscitation for critical newborns and assist ER in facilitating transfers
  • Use Cerner EMR and internal informatics platform
  • Conduct phone consultations with specialists at a larger regional hospital
  • Participate in team meetings held monthly or bi-monthly

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (for adult services only)
  • Med/Peds or Family Medicine BC/BE (for pediatric coverage opportunity)

Schedule

  • Balanced 7-on/7-off block schedule
  • Day shift: two hospitalists and one APP
  • Night shift: one hospitalist

Pay

Expected yearly salary is $320K-$330K, depending on experience.
