Internal Medicine Hospitalist Physician

About the role

Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a full-time hospitalist to join their team in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for patients admitted to the hospital under the supervision of attending physicians.
• Manage patient care, including ordering tests, interpreting results, and coordinating with other healthcare providers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team.
• Assure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
• May participate in procedures and provide procedural support as needed.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for or holding an unrestricted Tennessee medical license (free of restrictions, probationary terms, or conditions).
• Current or willing to obtain unrestricted DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital medicine preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule

This position offers a block schedule (7-on/7-off) with 12-hour shifts, including a nocturnist position available.
