About the role

Work on the cutting edge of clinical AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the medical judgment you already have. The clinical AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real physicians. The teams building them need internal medicine physicians who can review realistic inpatient records, judge whether the AI's clinical claims are supported, write what a sound clinical assessment should say, and explain exactly where the documentation or model output falls short. Your judgment helps shape the next generation of medical AI and the quality of the data behind it. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.

OpenTrain AI connects experienced professionals with paid, part-time AI training work: shaping and improving the AI systems that companies are building right now.

Responsibilities

  • Review inpatient adult medicine records, including histories, medication reconciliations and care plans
  • Evaluate documentation across a hospital stay, from admission and daily progress notes to care transitions and discharge
  • Check each clinical claim against the medical record and flag details that are missing, incorrect or inconsistent
  • Review renal and hepatic dose adjustments, drug interactions and age-appropriate details, then give feedback that improves documentation quality and model performance

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Internal Medicine
  • At least five years of hospitalist experience and current or recent inpatient hospitalist practice within the past two years
  • Professional fluency in English
  • No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.

Benefits

  • Get paid the equivalent of $80–$125 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
  • Work directly with frontier clinical AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most internal medicine physicians will not have for years
  • Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping internal medicine, and the physicians who understand it from the inside will lead that change
  • Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
