Internal Medicine Hospitalist

About the role

We are seeking a hospitalist to join our elite team. EMR System: Athena. Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Carmel. Location: Carmel, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Captures and documents patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeals all denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
• Hospitalist - Ascension St. Vincent Carmel: A well-established and respected program. Tenured hospitalists and APPs. Competitive base salary plus quality bonus. Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Experience in hospital medicine is preferred.
• Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Competitive base salary plus quality bonus.

Schedule

7 on and 7 off/7 am to 7 pm.
