Responsibilities
- Support leaders across system functions and major business units—helping them translate complex initiatives into clear, timely, and meaningful communication for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area or four years of relevant experience.
- Five years or more of experience in internal communications, preferably in a healthcare or large organizational setting.
- Proven ability to develop and execute internal communications strategies that drive employee engagement.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and formats.
- Strong analytical skills to measure communication effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Proficiency with internal communications tools, including intranet platforms, email management systems, and content management tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and provide strategic counsel to leaders.
- A hands-on, execution-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale communication initiatives.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism, which are foundational values central to the UCSF’s mission.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco at least one day per week.
