Internal Auditor Global Markets Technology
About the role
The Internal Auditor Global Markets Technology role within Nomura’s Internal Audit department focuses on reviewing technology risks across various products and making control improvement recommendations. Reporting to the Americas Global Markets Audit Technology Portfolio Director, the role involves working with technology and control stakeholders to assess risks, validate enhancements, and contribute to strategic changes.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of an integrated team to audit Global Markets businesses, covering Front Office Trading and Sales, and supporting control functions like Market and Credit Risk Management, Product Control / Middle Office, Technology, and Compliance.
- Perform risk assessments, continuous monitoring, and validate major control enhancements.
- Report findings to senior management and contribute to improving audit effectiveness.
- Use data analytics and develop automated testing to assess risks and controls.
Requirements
- Prior experience of data analysis.
- Experience in trading systems, businesses, and related operations, compliance, and finance.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of databases: SQL, Elastic, Graph technologies, and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.
- Knowledge of general auditing principles, including identifying and documenting technology and business processes, and designing and operating effectiveness of related controls.
- Confident manner and well-developed communication skills (verbal and written).
- Inspire entrepreneurship in people and elevate organizational capability.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, a Quantitative subject, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
- Accounting or Audit professional qualifications (e.g., CISA) and / or securities licenses.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the US, Europe, and Asian markets.

Pay
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $130,000 and $150,000 per year. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
Schedule
The role offers a full-time schedule.
