Internal Auditor

About the role

Become a part of our caring community Join Humana's Internal Audit team and guide the achievement of Humana's strategic and financial objectives as an Internal Auditor. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will provide value-added service by evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of Humana's operational processes. You will execute audit plans, prepare reports for management on the results of risk audits, and provide recommendations on improvements. Candidates for this role must live within commuting distance of one of Humana's offices located in Louisville, KY; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; Tampa, FL or Dallas, TX. Occasional in-office attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit projects and consulting engagements following established methodology and within budgeted timeframes.
• Independently prepare audit workpapers following Institute of Internal Audit and departmental standards.
• Participate in audit planning, fieldwork and reporting phases of engagements.
• Assist in identifying audit issues and root causes, recommend improvements, and ensure that management develops and implements corrective action plans.
• Communicate the results of audit and consulting projects with written reports and oral presentations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 2 years of audit experience
• Experience documenting process walkthroughs and identifying controls
• Experience leading meetings

Qualifications

• Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CFE, or PMP
• Advanced degree
• Data Analytics / Business Intelligence experience

Pay

The compensation range is $65,000 - $88,600 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
