Internal Audit Manager

About the role

Oversees the execution of comprehensive audit plans to ensure compliance with internal policies and federal regulations. Manages audits, recommends improvements in controls and procedures, and serves as a liaison between external auditors, credit union staff, and the Supervisory Committee.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and ability to oversee multiple projects
  • Knowledge of applicable State and Federal laws and regulations
  • Supervisory experience (hiring, training, coaching, and disciplining)
  • PC-proficient in a Windows environment

Qualifications

CPA, CIA, or other related industry certification required.

  • Speaking on the telephone approximately 20% of the workday
  • Occasional shoveling of snow to clear sidewalks
  • Continuous sitting, standing, talking, and listening for long periods
  • Use of hands in repetitive tasks such as typing and writing
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less for computer usage and processing member transactions
  • Memory demands for recalling credit union policies, services, and regulations
  • Occasional lifting up to 35 pounds to move supplies or office equipment
  • Bending, squatting, or kneeling to reach ground-level supplies
  • Reaching above shoulder level to access overhead supplies

  • Office environment with average noise levels from computers, printers, scanners, phones, and conversations
  • Located in Central Oregon; winter weather may impact travel
  • Seasonal fires may impact air quality
