About the Role
The Account Manager, Annuity Strategic Accounts serves as a key relationship owner and internal quarterback for a book of assigned strategic partner firms. Reporting into Annuity Strategic Accounts leadership, this role partners with external and internal wholesalers, firm home-office contacts, and cross-functional stakeholders to execute the partnership plan, keep the shelf and agreements current, drive campaign and promotional execution, and deliver data-driven insights that grow annuity market share within each firm.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day relationship owner for an assigned set of strategic annuity partner firms, aligning firm priorities with Global Atlantic's annuity strategy and product roadmap.
- Partner with external wholesalers, Divisional Sales Managers, and firm home-office contacts to execute the partnership plan, drive shelf placement, and grow annuity sales across Fixed, Fixed-Indexed, RILA, SPIA/DIA, and Variable Annuities.
- Maintain and renew firm selling agreements, product approvals, compensation schedules, and operational requirements in coordination with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Operations.
- Lead the design, launch, and post-mortem measurement of firm-level sales campaigns and promotional programs, translating results into actionable recommendations for sales leadership.
- Track and report firm-level market share, production trends, rate competitiveness, and business mix; proactively flag shifts to channel leadership and Competitive Intelligence.
- Own accurate, timely activity, opportunity, and account data in Salesforce so wholesalers, managers, and executives have a single source of truth on each partner firm.
- Coordinate partner events, training sessions, and executive touchpoints, and represent Global Atlantic as an ambassador of the annuity product suite and value proposition.
- Partner with Marketing to develop firm-approved materials, thought leadership, and communications that support field engagement and end-advisor adoption.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in annuity, insurance, or investment product distribution, ideally in an account management, sales support, or channel role.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- FINRA Series 7, 63 and Life & Health license required, or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe.
- Working knowledge of annuity products (Fixed, FIA, RILA, SPIA/DIA, VA) and the U.S. wealth distribution landscape (banks, wirehouses, IBDs, RIAs, IMOs).
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); comfort turning data into insight for executive audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present credibly to home-office and field partners.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to run multiple firm workstreams in parallel in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for firm meetings, conferences, and internal events.

- Analytical thinking: uses market share, production, and campaign data to identify opportunities and inform partner strategy.
- Collaboration in a matrix: partners effectively across Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to move firm priorities forward.
- Communication and executive presence: writes and speaks clearly, tailors the message to the audience, and represents Global Atlantic well externally.
