Job Details

Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the western United States, is currently seeking an Intern in the Zoning Practice Group in our Salt Lake City office.

Position Responsibilities

• Research and review property entitlements
• Make appointments with governmental representatives
• Assists in the preparation and filing of rezoning, site plan, zoning adjustment, and other land use entitlement applications, as needed
• Maintains digital and physical project records, as needed
• Files all correspondence and emails into the electronic filing system
• Manages project timelines and tracks tasks/deliverables
• Responds to phone calls and emails in a professional manner
• Performs other duties as assigned or required

Experience And Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a bachelor’s program, or in a master’s degree program, in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Geography, Sustainability, or a closely related field
• The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization and communication skills required
• Basic understanding of the common principles, practices, and methods used in Urban Planning
• Experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent application system
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
