Intern, Construction Group
Job Summary
As an Intern for the Construction Group, you will report to one of our experienced Project Managers. Your work assignments will vary but may include assisting with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and/or the coordination of design and installation with Project Management, Construction, and Service Departments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Drive project execution by coordinating trades, managing schedules, streamlining document control, and proactively solving field engineering challenges.
- Conduct comprehensive building surveys for retrofit projects to identify efficiency improvements and modernizing opportunities.
- Develop preliminary designs, compile data for proposals, and generate accurate cost estimates.
- Partner with the Purchasing department to evaluate pricing, expedite delivery timelines, and verify technical specifications for equipment and materials.
- Facilitate seamless installation procedures across Engineering, Construction, and cross-functional project stakeholders.
- Draft critical project documentation, including professional correspondence, contracts, change orders, and detailed project memos.
- Contribute to the estimation process to ensure project scopes and budgets align.
- Provide versatile support to Project Managers, Sales Management, and Engineering leadership on high-priority initiatives.

Education And Experience
- Required: Coursework towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering / Environment Engineering or Construction Management.
- Desired: Prior intern experience with HVAC and/or engineering consulting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar drafting software).

Competitive Wages
$25 - $29 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
