About the Role
Responsible for delivering and documenting patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Functions in five key areas: clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional development. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient outcomes, adhering to American Nursing Association standards and Florida Nurse Practice Act. Supports organizational mission and values, considering patient age and cultural diversity to provide quality care. Develops skills and critical thinking under supervision during the internship program.
Responsibilities
- Providing safe, competent, and confident nursing care
- Participating in professional development and performance improvement initiatives
- Supporting patient-centered care with excellent customer service
- Working with preceptors to enhance clinical skills
- Contributing to team efforts for optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree)
- Active registered nurse license in Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
- Strong communication, interpersonal, computer, and customer service skills
- No prior experience required; competency assessments will be completed
