Intern - Nurse

About the Role

Provides technical assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse to a designated group of patients, contributing to quality patient outcomes. Performs service functions and effective communication with staff, patients, and guests. Engages in activities to improve healthcare delivery and enhances clinical leadership knowledge. Participates in ongoing educational activities and completes assigned goals.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients with guidance from a registered nurse.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans.
• Provides patient care and supports nursing staff as directed.
• Contributes to healthcare improvement initiatives.
• Builds clinical leadership skills and participates in educational activities.
• Completes assigned objectives effectively.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a senior student in an approved nursing program, within one year of graduation.
• Meets academic requirements; computer literacy preferred.
• Certification in BLS within 14 days of hire is required.
