Role Overview
Provides technical assistance under the supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner to a designated patient group, supporting quality patient outcomes and facilitating communication with staff, patients, and guests. Performs procedures outside critical care areas, including monitoring low-flow oxygen, aerosol therapy, airway clearance, electrocardiograms, and equipment management. Assists in cardiorespiratory emergencies once BLS certified.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans under supervision.
- Assist with patient care and contribute to healthcare delivery improvements.
- Participate in educational activities and clinical leadership development.
- Complete assigned goals efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently enrolled as a second-year Respiratory Care student in an accredited program or a senior-year candidate within one year of graduation.
- Meet academic requirements and demonstrate computer literacy.
- Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hiring.
