Intern - Respiratory Care

About the Role

This position provides technical assistance under the supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to a specific patient group, supporting quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform authorized procedures outside critical care areas, including oxygen monitoring, aerosol therapy, airway clearance, ECGs, and equipment management.
• Assist in cardiorespiratory emergencies once certified in Basic Life Support.
• Conduct patient assessments and contribute to and implement care plans.
• Support staff and engage in activities to enhance healthcare delivery and clinical knowledge.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a second-year RCP student in an accredited program or a senior-year candidate within one year of graduation.
• Meets or exceeds academic requirements.
• Computer literacy.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
