Intern - Mental Health (SDSP Hill) (Fall)

About the role

The purpose of the mental health intern is to provide mental health services in the adult correctional facilities operated by the Department of Corrections.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of offender's behavioral health needs
• Providing groups, individual sessions, treatment plans, and documentation

Qualifications

• Pursuing a master’s degree from an accredited institution in one of the following mental health fields: counseling, social, work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy
• Minimum of 6 credit hours in the upcoming semester or immediately preceding semester
• Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of second/third year, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions

Benefits

Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a drug screening.

Pay

$25.47 per hour
