About the Role

Assist with the management of the Martin-Gatton Student Leadership Academy’s social media presence, including Instagram and LinkedIn. Attend MGSLA events as needed to capture content and support promotional efforts.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and publish approved content on social media platforms.
• Create and gather content for social media posts, including photos, videos, student spotlights/takeovers, alumni or stakeholder highlights, and event coverage.
• Assist with development of newsletters, announcements, promotional materials, flyers, graphics, and other related outreach efforts.
• Help maintain MGSLA photos, videos, and other digital media assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student (MGCAFE enrollment preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, Canva, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Work the agreed-upon number of hours each week (5-10 hours weekly during semester).
• Arrive on time and relay scheduling conflicts in advance.
• Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and stakeholders.
• Exercise sound judgment with all duties and responsibilities.
• Adherence to university social media guidelines and content approval chain.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs.
• Sitting for long periods of time.

Pay

$13.50 - $18.00 per hour
