The Hanover's Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on a variety of critical business assignments, test your skills, use your academic knowledge, and match your interests to a real job. Through the 10-week summer program (June – mid August), you will:

• Take on meaningful projects and work alongside some of the very best talent in the industry
• Be supported and mentored by a community of exceptional talent (leaders, managers, subject matter experts and recent graduates)
• Participate in a cross-functional team building project focused on corporate philanthropy
• Attend weekly development workshops with your intern peers
• Join in engagement and social activities with other interns

Our Marine team is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program, which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options.

Responsibilities

• Support various underwriting functions in partnership with assigned Underwriters, Technicians, and Associates
• Assist with underwriting transactions, service standards, agency relationships, and compliance rules and documentation
• Prepare and provide key data and follow up on outstanding issues
• Perform line of business (LOB) analyses to evaluate accounts
• Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
• Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree or advanced degree program
• Preferred majors: Risk Management and Insurance, Business
• Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Pay

This position is open to candidates in Worcester, MA, Houston, TX, and Charlotte, NC in a hybrid model (2x a week in office). The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus (which could take the form of a general bonus, sales incentive, or short-term incentive), long-term incentive or spot recognition awards. The posted range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
