Summary

We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Land & Right‑of‑Way Intern for our summer program. This is a twelve‑week paid internship beginning May 2027. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028. Location: Houston.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with real estate principles, rules and regulations pertaining to rights of way and other land rights associated with gathering, processing, transmission, and storage assets.
  • Assist in acquiring, maintaining, and operating those rights to protect the assets.
  • Support estimating, budgeting, reporting, and administrative requests.
  • Handle renewals, permitting, document preparation, and redlining.
  • Participate in damage settlements, title research, GIS/mapping, project development, and management.

Education and Experience

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring in business, energy management, real estate, or pre‑law disciplines.
  • At least sophomore‑level coursework completed.
  • Above‑average GPA.
  • Demonstrated involvement in activities outside of college studies.

  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Organizational skills to perform and prioritize various functions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Team player capable of working effectively with a diverse workforce and various organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel.
