Intern - HR Labor Relations

WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an HR Labor Relations Intern in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This full-time summer internship runs during the Summer of 2027.

About the Role

The Human Resources intern will gain hands-on experience supporting Employee/Labor Relations activities within a unionized work environment. This role is designed to provide a practical understanding of how Employee/Labor Relations supports business objectives. Students work with experienced members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Support staff on projects while developing skills, technical expertise, interpersonal and communication skills, and Employee/Labor Relations skills
• Build working knowledge within Employee/Labor Relations through exposure to a variety of daily tasks and projects
• Research labor agreements
• Assist with grievance and disciplinary documentation
• Analyze employee/labor-related data
• Participate in meetings and investigations
• Help identify opportunities to improve Employee/Labor Relations processes
• Support the organization in capturing and organizing institutional knowledge
• Infrequent travel required within Southeast Wisconsin

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a closely related discipline (graduation date after June 2027)
• Minimum GPA of 2.8
• Valid Driver’s License

Pay

The hourly rate for this internship is $21.30, with a pay range of $21.30 to $24.60. The starting salary within this range will be based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and other factors. Paid company holidays are included.
