Intern FOH - Food & Beverage, The American Club

About the role

This is a 6‑month internship located onsite in Kohler, WI. Interns will rotate through various food and beverage outlets, gaining exposure to both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations, including service, associate training, inventory management, associate management, operating procedures, menu development, and special dining events.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the restaurant floor and lead communication between FOH and BOH
• Monitor and execute all food and beverage orders, ensuring quality and presentation
• Train in all restaurant positions to understand each role (BOH and FOH)
• Learn to write schedules, handle cash, office reporting, and social media
• Assist the outlet manager with cover forecasting, scheduling, payroll, and labor controls
• Lead opening and closing procedures of the assigned outlet
• Manage inventory levels: daily product requisition requests, minimizing waste/spoilage, conducting inventory counts
• Assist department managers with special assignments
• Conduct pre‑shift meetings for AM and PM staff
• Attend weekly F&B staff meetings and/or team meetings as needed
• Assist management with daily administrative tasks (purchasing, ordering, invoicing, scheduling, records control, filing)
