Intern - Environmental, Health & Safety Co-Op(Jan - August 2027)

About the role

This is an internship position (Non-Exempt Salary) with a Co-Op duration of at least 7 months, spanning from January 2027 to August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Aid in Lockout Tagout training.
• Aid in Accident and Incident investigations.
• Conduct weekly hazardous waste inspections.
• Perform monthly spill prevention and control plan inspections.
• Act as the primary first point of EHS contact for internal customers where assigned, ensuring expectations are met.
• Interface with and utilize the Corporate EHS functional management team for resources and expertise while maintaining local ownership of issues.
• Aid the site in proactively identifying, maintaining, and complying with applicable county, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Aid in day-to-day compliance activities and maintain records to demonstrate compliance.
• Obtain knowledge and understanding of Plexus' manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for best EHS management practices.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field for the entire duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Junior level status.
• GPA: 3.0 or higher is preferred.

Pay

Hourly Rate: $20 – $24/hr. The rate offered within this range will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level.
