Intern - DPD Tech
Reports to: General Manager | Location: Garden Grove, CA | Type: Internship (Full-Time/Part-Time) | Duration: 3-6 Months | Schedule: 1st Shift
About the Role
Provide, implement, and administer masking instructions and visual aids within the facility. DPD Technicians work directly for the Quality Manager and are involved in developing and implementing systems to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. This position may include a mixture of the functions below, to be determined upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Manage and create file structures for storage of existing and new documents, including visual aids, customer-provided blueprints, and work instructions.
- Take and edit photos for use in masking instructions.
- Interpret masking instructions to translate onto internal visual aids.
- Use CATIA to create model-based visual aids.
- Read and interpret multiple types of blueprints.
- Interpret customer-supplied purchase orders and work instructions.
- Work with various computer applications, including PowerPoint, PDF editors, Word, and Excel.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in CATIA
- Ability to read multiple types of blueprints

Work Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing setting where shop conditions can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must meet ITAR requirements prior to employment.
Pay
Compensation Range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour (DOE)
