About the role
Corning’s Optical Communications segment delivers industry-leading optical solutions across carrier and enterprise networks. The Digital Marketing Intern will support the business in executing an omni-channel digital strategy, developing digital stories via email and social campaigns, building a content plan, documenting best practices, and creating processes for the organization.
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with digital platforms such as SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Social Media Management, Marketing Automation, and Content Management is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal and phone skills.
- Proven analytical, organizational, and process skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to new challenges, opportunities, processes, and technologies.
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May–August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Interest in joining Corning full-time after graduation if presented with an opportunity.
- Willingness to work at the posted job location.
Responsibilities
- Website: Analyze the customer buying journey on web properties to define, develop, and implement a content plan that optimizes engagement and conversion to prospects (leads).
- Search engine optimization and advertising: Perform keyword research, on-page optimization, strategic content development, and manage search ads to capture traffic from SERPs.
- Social Media: Support the digital programs team to execute the social media strategy, define and document best practices, and streamline templates.
- Email Marketing: Collaborate with marketing automation experts to develop email communications that meet customer needs and increase engagement rates; define and document best practices and streamline templates.
- Reporting/Analytics: Review current data and analytics, research industry best practices, and recommend improvements to the digital buying journey.
- Special Projects: Contribute to and support additional strategic marketing initiatives as they emerge.

The range for this position is $1,635.00 – $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
