Intern, Corporate Affairs
About the role
Zeno Group is an integrated communications agency focused on strategic communications for clients across various industries. Interns will gain hands-on experience in corporate affairs, contributing to integrated communications programs for leading companies.
Responsibilities
- Client & Team Support: Collaborate with account teams, contribute to deliverables, and help organize and track projects.
- Research & Communications Insights: Conduct industry, company, competitor, and media trend research to support client programs and new business opportunities.
- Content Development: Draft and edit communications materials such as media pitches, press releases, fact sheets, briefing materials, social content, and presentations.
- Media Relations & Social Media: Develop media lists, monitor coverage, research journalists, assist with media outreach, and contribute to social media content and community management.
- Events & Program Execution: Assist with event planning, logistics, and on-site support, and coordinate materials and vendor communications for client initiatives.
- Professional Development & Collaboration: Partner with colleagues, participate in brainstorming sessions, and trainings, and build foundational skills in corporate communications, media relations, and integrated marketing.
Requirements
- Strong interest in public relations, corporate communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new skills and contribute to team success.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Interest in media, business news, communications trends, and storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship, campus leadership, or relevant communications experience.
- Experience creating content for social media, student organizations, or other digital platforms.
- Familiarity with media monitoring, communications, or social listening tools.
Pay
$18.00 USD/hr. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
