Responsibilities
- Scheduling and coordinating all activities related to Medical Spanish CEL, including booking rooms, ordering food, placing procurements, and managing student reimbursements for health fairs.
- Scheduling and attending health fairs, managing student travel and reimbursements, and attending student or community meetings.
- Schedule and coordinate events on our Engage platform (GivePulse) and other duties as assigned related to Medical Spanish and services as advised by the CEL department.
- Fostering positive and collaborative relationships with community residents, local nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, businesses, and student organizations to facilitate health fair and health screening sites for the CEL department and all its initiatives.
- Conducting training for students and volunteers on program/stakeholder/initiative requirements as well as coordinating and executing key community engagement events, such as screening events, health fairs, stakeholder engagement activities, service days, and community volunteer recognition events for CEL.
- Managing, tracking, and ordering supplies, settling invoices, and assisting the CEL team in equipment and asset management (like vehicles and healthcare equipment).
- Managing biowaste and trash disposal protocols before and after health fairs and at the CEL prep site, and organizing and inventorying CEL initiative shelves as needed.
- Maintaining and updating the CEL general or initiative specific REDCap database for participant screening and longitudinal follow-up.
- Maintain and analyze outreach data for all CEL activities for scholarly publications and assist in writing scholarly articles for publication.

- Data Management Ability to gather, manage, and report large amounts of data accurately using electronic systems, ensuring all information is correct.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills Skilled in working with diverse groups, including students, faculty, and administration, to collect feedback and ensure clear communication of updates and processes.
- Time Management and Organizational Skills Competence in managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and keeping stakeholders informed of progress throughout the process.
- Problem-Solving and Process Improvement Skills Ability to identify opportunities for improving clinical year processes, offering suggestions, and notifying of all concerned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an internship, academic or clinic setting is preferred
