Responsibilities
- Conduct facility audits.
- Develop and deliver employee training programs.
- Assist with industrial hygiene activities.
- Perform equipment maintenance.
- Participate in health, safety, and security projects.
- Support incident investigations.
- Contribute to emergency preparedness and response.
- Assist with governmental inspections and compliance with regulations.
- Act as an agency liaison with other Marathon business units.
- Prepare and submit reports for assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Majors such as Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability, Fire Protection & Safety, or related fields.
- Concurrent enrollment in a bachelor’s degree (or higher) for the duration of the internship.
- Strong academic performance.
- Availability to work on‑site 40 hours per week.
- Ability to safely ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs or ladders and lift or carry items up to 50 lb.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for work‑related travel.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Availability for multiple work terms is preferred.
Pay
Minimum $24.09 per hour – Maximum $35.96 per hour.
