Intern-Business
Temporary positions available for two sessions: May 24th – August 6th, 2027 and June 28th – September 10th, 2027. Candidates must be available on or around May 17th or June 21st, 2027 for onboarding.
About the role
This internship is designed for college students interested in exploring careers in healthcare administration or academic administration. The program provides an overview of the hiring department and hands-on training in one of several areas: Finance and Accounting, Human Resource Management, Physician Practice Administration, Process Improvement, Public Relations and Marketing, Revenue Cycle, or Risk Management. Candidates should indicate their area of interest in the cover letter section of the application.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to the assigned department (e.g., Finance, HR, Marketing, etc.)
- Use computer, printer, and software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment
- Communicate professionally in English (in person, in writing, and on the telephone)
- Manage multiple assignments, organize workload, and work under pressure
- Problem-solve, pay close attention to detail, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a field of study in Business, Communications, or a related field
- Member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Able to read, write, and speak English with professional quality
- Able to relate and communicate positively and professionally with others
- Able to think critically and recall information accurately
- Sufficient hearing and vision for general conversation, computer work, and workplace sounds
