Internship Overview
Time Commitment: 20 hours per week
Internship Duration: 9/8/26-12/11/26
Location: Must be located in Dallas, TX or the immediate surrounding area
Salary: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Assist with vulnerability management activities, including identifying, analyzing, tracking, and reporting security vulnerabilities across technology environments.
Support cybersecurity risk reduction efforts through research, data analysis, and security assessments.
Aid in the review and analysis of security findings and remediation activities.
Develop metrics, reports, and dashboards to communicate cybersecurity trends and risk posture.
Research emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Document cybersecurity processes, standards, procedures, and operational workflows.
Contribute to cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including the creation of educational content and communications that promote safe security practices.
Support cybersecurity projects and initiatives designed to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.
Perform additional cybersecurity-related research, analysis, and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
College Seniors and Graduate students studying Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields are preferred.
An understanding of key technology concepts such as access control, confidential data, encryption, business continuity, networking concepts, vulnerability management, cybersecurity principles, and cloud computing.
Familiarity and experience with Common Vulnerability and Exposure (CVE), cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability scanning tools (server, cloud, and application, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize information and document findings clearly.
Receptive to guidance from manager and able to effectively communicate results to manager.
Demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications and comfort with working professionally with leaders, stakeholders and training coordinators.
Ability to be highly productive, both working alone and as part of a team.
Ability to deal professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects and programs from inception through completion.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
