About the Role

Internships within our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Division offer experiential learning opportunities by working alongside teams that provide community-based services to individuals with mental health conditions and behavioral health needs. Internship duties vary greatly by position but include opportunities to explore and gain experience with human services, social work, and understanding the practical day-to-day life of our mental health professionals. Typical internships last from 3 to 6 months and may take place within one or multiple Vinfen locations depending on outlined internship goals.

Responsibilities

Internship duties vary by position but may include:

  • Exploring and gaining experience in human services and social work
  • Understanding the practical day-to-day responsibilities of mental health professionals
  • Working alongside teams providing community-based services

Qualifications

  • Earning college credit and working towards a collegiate degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with virtual conferencing tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to attend and complete in-person meetings and responsibilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Cultural sensitivity and compassion
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a desire to learn
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Must be willing to sign and follow the terms of a non-disclosure agreement
  • Able to successfully pass a CORI and a multistate background check
