Vinfen offers internships within our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Division, providing experiential learning opportunities by working alongside teams that deliver community-based services to individuals with mental health conditions and behavioral health needs. Internship duties vary by position but include opportunities to explore human services, social work, and the day-to-day work of mental health professionals. Typical internships last 3 to 6 months and may take place at one or multiple Vinfen locations, depending on internship goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside teams providing community-based services to individuals with mental health conditions and behavioral health needs
  • Gain hands-on experience in human services and social work
  • Explore the practical, day-to-day responsibilities of mental health professionals
  • Duties vary by position and may include participation in multiple Vinfen locations based on internship goals

Qualifications

  • Earning college credit and working toward a collegiate degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with virtual conferencing tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to attend and complete in-person meetings and responsibilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Cultural sensitivity and compassion
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a desire to learn
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Willingness to sign and follow the terms of a non-disclosure agreement
  • Able to successfully pass a CORI and a multistate background check
