About the role

The Commercial Leasing Internship is a paid opportunity for students to gain practical experience in the commercial real estate industry. Interns will work alongside experienced leasing, property management, and asset management professionals, participating in various aspects of commercial leasing, including tenant relations, market research, property marketing, lease administration, business development, and property operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting leasing efforts through prospect outreach, lead tracking, and tenant engagement activities.
  • Aiding in market research, competitive property analysis, and demographic studies.
  • Helping prepare leasing proposals, marketing materials, presentations, and property tours.
  • Maintaining leasing and tenant records, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Participating in tenant meetings, property inspections, and leasing strategy discussions.
  • Assisting with lease administration and ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborating with property management and operations teams to support tenant satisfaction and retention efforts.
  • Contributing to special projects related to occupancy growth, asset performance, and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Rising junior or senior preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Interest in commercial real estate, leasing, property management, or asset management.
  • Previous internship, customer service, sales, or administrative experience is a plus but not required.

Additional Requirements

  • Full-time availability through September 30, 2026.
  • Reliable attendance and professional conduct required.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
