Responsibilities

  • Behave consistently with MetroPower’s Mission and Vision, focusing on safety, company policies, and procedures.
  • Gain knowledge of all aspects of Electrical Installation field operations, including worksite safety, materials and equipment nomenclature, installation processes, equipment operations, and blueprint reading.
  • Act as a decisive leader with a passion for hands-on work in outdoor environments and a strong drive for construction project management.
  • Complete special projects as directed by the branch manager, which may include:
    • Standard field experience
    • Business market research
    • Assisting with the development of project documentation software
    • Developing Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards & forms

Requirements

  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with MetroPower employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Quick learner with a consistently positive attitude and willingness to assume a variety of training opportunities within the company.
  • Desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable.
  • Strong desire to learn and be a contributing team member.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products and the web.
  • Strong desire to be part of a dynamic and Servant Leadership-based company.

Skills and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves moderate manual labor in outdoor environments.
  • Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs and bend, stoop, squat, sit, and maneuver in confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose him/her to silica dust or other hazardous materials.
  • Ability to maintain workloads that may include interstate and intrastate travel and daily timeframes that could exceed typical business hours.
