Responsibilities
- Behave consistently with CarolinaPower’s Mission and Vision, focusing on safety, company policies, and procedures.
- Gain knowledge of all aspects of Electrical Installation field operations, including worksite safety, materials and equipment nomenclature, installation processes, equipment operations, and blueprint reading.
- Act as a decisive leader with a passion for hands-on work in outdoor environments and a strong drive for construction project management.
- Complete special projects as directed by the branch manager, which may include:
- Standard field experience
- Business market research
- Assisting with the development of project documentation software
- Developing Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards and forms
Requirements
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Quick learner with a positive attitude and willingness to assume a variety of training opportunities.
- Desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity (both are non-negotiable).
- Strong desire to learn and be a contributing team member.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products and the web.
- Strong desire to be part of a dynamic and Servant Leadership-based company.
Skills and Physical Requirements
- Ability to maintain a consistent workload involving moderate manual labor in outdoor environments.
- Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs and bend, stoop, squat, sit, and maneuver in confined spaces.
- Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to silica dust or other hazardous materials.
- Ability to maintain workloads that may include interstate and intrastate travel and daily timeframes that could exceed typical business hours.
