Intern, Accounting Operations

About the role

This intern will have a basic understanding of how the accounting department operates by supporting the month and quarter end close. They will be able to understand the basic business processes for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Asset Accounting and Bank Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze balance sheet accounts and assist with journal entries.
• Develop knowledge of general ledger account details.
• Support accounting activities across sales, marketing, and purchasing functions.
• Assist the Credit Team with dealer-related activities.
• Support projects involving account reconciliations, clearing account data, and researching aged account activity.

Requirements

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Completed at least 60 college credit hours at time of application.
• Field of study: Accounting.
• Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only).
• Experience using Microsoft Suite and SAP.
• Conscientious, responsible, motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• English fluency (oral and written).

Pay

Undergraduate students: $25.30 per hour. Graduate students: $32.20 per hour. The selected student's academic level will determine the final pay rate.

Schedule

Full‑time schedule: 36.25 hours per week.
