The Mississippi State University Riley Center is a Performing Arts and Conference Center that opened in 2006 in Meridian, Mississippi. We host more than 25 performing arts events as well as over 100 conference events each year.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Must be able to regularly lift and transport equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Absorb and implement feedback from the Events Manager and team during on-site setup for Riley Center events.
- Absorb and implement feedback from the Events Manager upon completion of duties.
- Ensure that all setups are accurate according to provided layout diagrams.
- Help to ensure that all event setup times are met according to weekly schedule.
- Follow proper procedures to ensure personal safety and the security of the venue's physical resources.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of related experience - or - Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of Human Resources Management.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Physical effort required.
- Considerable physical activity.
- Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling is required of objects up to 75 pounds.
- Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
