Therapeutic Program Worker - Intermittent
About the role
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) seeks Therapeutic Program Workers at the Warrensville Developmental Center. Starting Hourly Pay: $22.60 per hour, with a first raise to $22.96 per hour after four months, and potential for further increases up to $25.69 per hour for first shift employees. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, medical coverage starting the month following hire, free dental and vision after one year, and a generous benefits package including vacation, sick, holiday, and personal leave.
Responsibilities
- Absorbs residents with daily living skills and assists them in becoming more independent to achieve their goals.
- Supports residents in various activities such as gym, pavilion, activity room, and pool.
- Aids in planning and shopping activities like grocery shopping, vocational skills, and hair appointments.
- Completes daily and monthly documentation, including incident reports and medication reactions.
- Performs light housekeeping duties in living areas.
- Assists in redirecting unsafe actions to promote positive outcomes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with 5 or fewer points.
- No prior experience required.
