Intermediate School Health and Physical Education Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Create purposeful and appropriate lesson plans that support physical fitness, team development and sportsmanship, health and wellness, gross motor development, nutrition, and individual or team sports.
• Develop a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured learning environment where all students can experience success.
• Incorporate joy and rigor into lessons to excite students about and engage them in their physical and mental health.
• Evaluate student progress using various assessment methods.
• Create and utilize documents on the Google platform for document development.
• Pursue opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Be certified in Health/Physical Education PK-12 in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Have prior teaching experience, preferably in intermediate grades-focused physical education instruction.
• Be familiar with charter schools.

Qualifications

• Strong speaking and listening skills.
• Ability to observe and maintain discipline within the class.
• Willingness to collaborate with all educators at the campus.

Skills

• Knowledgeable about an activity and able to communicate and demonstrate it properly.

Benefits

• Minimum starting salary of $44,716 up to a maximum starting salary of $51,056, depending on prior years' teaching experience.
