Intermediate Sales Engineer

The Pre-Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting sales, partners, and prospective customers by delivering compelling product demonstrations, guiding technical discovery, leading Proof-of-Value (POV) engagements, and positioning N-able's solutions as the trusted choice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, technically accurate demonstrations highlighting the capabilities, differentiators, and real-world value of N-able's cybersecurity and data protection solutions.
- Tailor presentations to technical and executive audiences, emphasizing customer needs.
- Conduct detailed technical discovery sessions to understand customer goals, business drivers, and security challenges.
- Translate requirements into well-designed solution architectures and lead collaborative workshops to communicate both technical and business value.
- Own and manage the end-to-end POV and trial process, ensuring customers and partners see measurable, meaningful value.
- Support and train Managed Service Providers (MSPs), resellers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) partners to deliver effective demos, trials, and technical validations.
- Act as a trusted advisor in partner-led sales cycles, sharing best practices and deep technical expertise.
- Stay informed on industry trends and provide actionable field insights to shape product messaging and influence product roadmaps.
- Represent N-able at trade shows, webinars, partner events, and executive briefings, strengthening brand credibility and market awareness through clear, confident technical advocacy.
Requirements
Strong understanding of cybersecurity and data protection concepts and industry knowledge.
Ability to design and articulate solution architectures that align with customer environments and objectives.
Proven ability to deliver compelling demos and technical presentations.
Experience leading POVs or technical evaluations with measurable outcomes.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-engagement skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts and build strong, trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with MSPs, VARs, or channel-driven sales motions.
- 5+ years in pre-sales engineering, sales engineering, or technical consulting roles.
- Work with cutting-edge cybersecurity and data protection technologies.
- Collaborate with a high-performing sales organization and top-tier channel partners.

Pay
Starting annualized OTE ($115,000.00 to $142,000.00) with a pay mix of 70/30 (base/commission).
