About the role
In this position you will play a key role in ensuring accurate natural gas measurement, supporting design and standards development, and driving continuous improvement. You will identify and assess measurement assets from new construction or existing facilities to ensure equipment is operating properly.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to field teams, identifying process improvements and supporting safe, compliant operations.
- Apply code and industry standards to engineering, material selection, testing, facility design, installation, and operational practices.
- Support the full project lifecycle, including risk and integrity assessments, scoping, budgeting, forecasting, permitting, engineering, construction, and documentation.
- Review, approve, and coordinate measurement facility designs, procedures, and gas handling practices.
- Evaluate meter and measurement facilities, analyze data, and support operational audits to ensure measurement accuracy and reduce Lost and Unaccounted For gas (LAUF).
- Serve as a key regional technical resource during emergency response events and provide reporting and information support to internal partners and third parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or other related field).
- 4-7 years of related experience in the measurement, operations or pipeline transmission industry is preferred. We will consider candidates with over 7 years.
- Ability to perform work in extreme (hot or cold) weather conditions.
- Experience and understanding of Natural Gas Operations is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without requiring sponsorship from Enbridge now or in the future.
Working Conditions
- Mix of office and field environments.
- Travel required: up to 50%, occasionally one full week or more at a time within the Southeast region.
- Extensive driving can be required to reach field locations due to size of region (region covers south to the Mexico border, east to Arkansas, North to Mississippi down to Louisiana coast).
Physical Requirements
- Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing.
- Visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
- Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

- Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.
- Understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions.
- Organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
- Organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis.
- Make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area.
- Understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
- Complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports.
- Communicate with individuals via telephone.
Pay
Salary ranges from $90,000 – $120,000/year USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
