Intermediate Epic Domain and Environment Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for in-depth knowledge of Epic system environments, change management processes, and oversight of products and services delivered by Epic Systems Corporation.
  • Manages Data Courier Administration, coordinating and supporting build migration, and customizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the Enterprise Master File Infrastructure (EMFI).
  • Coordinates and communicates Epic system updates, upgrades, and Nova Notes.
  • Safeguards system stability and performance by monitoring and resolving issues related to Data Courier and EMFI.
  • Collaborates with the IT Change Management team to develop and manage Epic build change management processes.
  • Communicates and documents Epic environment Data Courier strategies and policies.
  • Ensures that Data Courier interfaces and protection settings align with established policies and procedures.
  • Assists with coordinating and managing Epic updates and upgrades for all environments.
  • Works with System Administrators on the installation, maintenance, and downtime of all Epic software components.
  • Supports and trains Epic analysts on Data Courier and EMFI processes and best practices.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for Data Courier and EMFI configurations and processes.
  • Tracks and reports on the status of Data Courier and EMFI activities and issues.
  • Manages the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Data Courier and Enterprise Master File Infrastructure (EMFI) in Epic environments.
  • Oversees the migration of build changes across different Epic environments using Data Courier.
  • Collaborates with Epic analysts to ensure accurate and timely migration of build changes.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Epic environment structures and environment management
  • Understanding of Epic Content Management and Data Courier functionality and migration processes
  • Technical aptitude sufficient to learn Epic data structures and Data Courier interfaces
  • Knowledge of Epic upgrade coordination and release management practices
  • Experience with build migration coordination and support activities
  • Experience with Epic’s Sherlock and Nova applications
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and operational follow-through
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinking and logical reasoning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical, application, and operational stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain operational documentation and reporting
  • Working knowledge of project management and change management principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Visio

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Epic EMR application or systems support, technical operations, release management, or infrastructure coordination
  • Epic-Data Courier Administrator certification

$66,170.74 - $123,073.07
