Intermediate Designer

About the role

The Intermediate Designer at IA Interior Architects supports the design process by providing design support in project administration, design development, and contract documents. This role works closely with junior designers and under the supervision of senior designers or project managers.

Responsibilities

• Space Planning & Test Fits
• Assists senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishes
• At direction of senior designers, may provide suggested details for interior design projects
• Researches and collects details for furniture and finish cost estimates
• Develops preliminary plans

Qualifications

• Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted
• 3+ years’ experience in corporate interior design projects
• Working knowledge of the range of design principles and aesthetics
• Familiarity with space planning methodology
• Familiarity with furnishings and finishes
• Intermediate sketching and rendering skills
• Advanced Revit skills
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills

Pay

$68,000 - $80,000 annually, based on education, licensing, and relevant industry experience
