About the role

This is a Full-Time On-Site position at West Star Aviation in Perryville, MO. West Star is a rapidly growing MRO provider dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service through its talented team of employees.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for interior finish processes, including wood finishes, gloss and satin applications, and sanding of hardwood.
• Completion of aircraft interior cabinet finishes.
• Aid in paint and techniques for major modification projects.
• Identify colors and color matches as needed.
• Apply basic knowledge of stains, lacquers, clear coats, and safety procedures.
• Use basic knowledge of chemicals, dry sanding, and wet sanding.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and surroundings.
• Perform maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
• Assist with other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.
• Experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine, or related fields.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Pass a respirator fit test.

Qualifications

• Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine or related field.
• Tech II: 2 - 4 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine or related field.
• Tech III: 4 - 6 years of experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine or related field.
• Master Tech: 6+ years’ experience in aviation interiors.

Skills

Basic knowledge of paints and spraying equipment, dry sanding, and wet sanding, etc., basic computer skills, and safety procedures.

Pay

Compensation is competitive and industry-leading, with weekly paydays. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.

Schedule

Varies, but typically includes 5x8, 4x10, and 3x12 schedules.
