Responsibilities
- Perform removal and installation of carpeting, insulation, soundproofing, and fabric accessories on aircraft interiors.
- Replace and repair parts as needed.
- Install and modify basic electrical systems.
- Refurbish and maintain aircraft interiors.
- Complete daily turnover sheets and work order processes.
- Manage weight and balance data.
- Maintain shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Clean shop and surrounding areas.
- Work independently when necessary.
- Communicate effectively (speak, write, read) in English.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license for airline travel and/or a valid passport (optional).
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attend work regularly, including overtime and weekends.
- Notify supervisor in advance if unable to work.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Comply with FAA guidelines and follow company and safety rules.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
- Assist with major modifications as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills for navigating electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Physical requirements: lift and carry at least 50 lbs, walk, bend, squat, sit, perform routine tasks, climb ladders and stairs, work in small spaces.
- Mental requirements: understand and implement regulations and guidelines, work professionally with others, plan and organize procedures, read reports and blueprints.
- Supervision: work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Interior Management, may supervise other technicians.
- Working conditions: work in hangars, on ramps, and in various positions around aircraft.
- Equipment used: personal hand tools, electrical power tools, sheet metal cutters, glue guns, metal benders, tugs, power carts, spray booths.
