Responsibilities
- Manage smaller residential projects from concept through installation under the supervision of the principal.
- Lead day-to-day communication with clients, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Develop design concepts, and presentation drawings.
- Source furniture, lighting, textiles, finishes, plumbing fixtures, hardware, and decorative accessories.
- Research and source vintage and antique furnishings aligned with the studio’s aesthetic.
- Prepare design presentations, specifications, schedules, and client documentation.
- Available for client meetings, site visits, installations, and vendor appointments.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Assist with procurement and oversee design selections through execution.
Requirements
- Excellent taste, strong technical skills, and the confidence to take ownership while continuing to learn.
- Equally comfortable contributing creatively and solving technical challenges.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in luxury residential interior design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience with Studio Designer or similar project management software.
- Excellent understanding of furniture, lighting, materials, finishes, custom millwork, and construction detailing.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong design sensibility with a sophisticated understanding of scale, proportion, materials, and color.
