Interior Designer Intern

About the role

CPH is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural / Interior Architecture Intern who is currently enrolled in an accredited architecture or interior architecture program.

Responsibilities

• Aid in architectural and interior design concepts, layouts, and space planning
• Support the preparation of design drawings, renderings, and presentation materials
• Help develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and details under supervision
• Prepare drawings, diagrams, and graphic visuals for client presentations
• Support project documentation, including redlines and simple construction details
• Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and client presentations as appropriate
• Call jurisdictions for permitting and other project related information gathering
• Conduct basic site analysis, measurements, or field observations (when applicable)
• Maintain organized digital files and drawing sets

• Ability to follow direction while also taking initiative
• Ability to exercise critical thinking and sound independent judgment
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
• Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines while adhering to project schedules and budgets
• Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design
• Basic understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and material selection
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and/or Adobe Creative Suite preferred
• Prior internship, academic projects, or studio experience in interior design is a plus
