About the role

Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed to build your skills and knowledge in the industry and as a designer.

Responsibilities

  • Gain meaningful skills in design: You’ll be exposed to various aspects of design to obtain knowledge and understanding of the design process and technical programs designers use every day in the industry.
  • Information Research: Help the Team with researching and gathering materials for projects to further your knowledge of interior materials.
  • Construction Documentation Support: Support the Team with drafting tasks such as picking up redlines and creating 3D models to ensure accurate and efficient project documentation.
  • Project & Material Maintenance: Help to manage project drawers by clearing out unused materials or ordering needed samples for projects. You will also assist the team with keeping the materials library clean and organized.

Requirements

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in interior design or have recently graduated from a 4-year program.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite and learn other tech tools quickly.
  • Exposure to and basic working knowledge in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
  • Strong portfolio with great design esthetic showcasing a range of completed projects from your schoolwork.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Positive Attitude and willingness to learn new design tasks and programs.

Pay

$20-23 / Hour. Compensation within this range will be determined by various factors, such as relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and the needs of the business or organization.

Schedule

Vida operates on a hybrid work schedule. Employees work Mondays and Fridays from their home office and Tuesday - Thursday are in-office workdays.

Internship Length

The Interior Designer Intern is a temporary role and will start in September and last through to December.
